The Theragun Elite massage gun is, you can say, an accessible version of the Theragun PRO. It offers the same handheld percussion massage style but with fewer features than its superior Theragun PRO.

Theragun Elite Review: the first impressions

The Theragun Elite comes in a hard case, along with five different attachments and a charger. On the top surface of the gun, you will find an OLED screen, an on\off button, two arrows and two +\- buttons. The case itself doesn’t come with a manual or booklet, but there are instructions on the box which indicates that you need to download the app.

The Therabody App

Like the PRO, the Theragun Elite massage gun is the first handheld percussive massager to feature Bluetooth. The built-in Bluetooth connects with the Therabody app, and you can easily access all the features and functions, like adjusting your massager’s speed, from your smartphone. The application can be installed for free from Google Play and Apple Store.

In addition, you can access several guided sessions through the application to target specific body parts or perform particular instructed routines like nightly sleep preparation for bedtime relaxation.

Furthermore, the app also lets you track and record your history of sessions. The app stores your sessions’ history by data and time, making it way easier to keep a check on your recovery and performance. All in all, when the Theragun Elite massage gun is paired with the Therabody app, you can optimize your performance and step up your game!

Along with that, the application also lets you customize your speed options ranging from 1750 to 2400 PPM. So, now you can set your speed levels far beyond 5 levels!

Theragun Elite Accessories

The most crucial topic of Theragun Elite review is its attachments. The Theragun Elite massage gun comes with 5 attachments: the wedge, standard ball, dampener, cone, and thumb. The Therabody app will guide you clearly regarding which head to use if you are not sure.

Theragun Elite accessories

Wedge: the wedge can be used to scrape your muscles. It is an excellent option for shoulder blades.

Dampener: a dampener is a good option for bony and tender areas.

Standard ball: this head is slightly smaller than the dampener, and it is suitable for larger and smaller muscle groups.

Cone: this tip is an ideal choice to target specific small muscle groups.

Thumb: this head is mainly used on trigger points and the lower back.

The Theragun Elite does not come with a large ball or super-soft head attachments. However, if you want to purchase additional extensions or a wireless charger, you can buy it from Theragun Elite stores like Therabody or other retailers such as John Lewis.

How much does Theragun Elite Cost?

The Theragun Elite cost on Therabody is $399 only. However, you can also purchase this massager gun from other Theragun Elite stores like Selfridges, John Lewis, and Decathlon for a lower price with Theragun Elite discount!

Theragun Elite Key Features

Theragun Elite wireless charger

Battery Life

You can also purchase a wireless charger for $79 for an easier and faster charge. The Theragun Elite massager guns come with 1 built-in battery with a life of 120 minutes. Since it is a high power massage gun, you are most likely to use it for 15-20 mins in one go so that the battery life won’t be a major issue for most users.

Ergonomic Grip

The patented triangular shape of Theragun makes it easy to hold and target the obscure parts single-handedly. Therabody app also guides regarding which grip is preferred for an area, which is quite helpful!

Speed Intensities

The Elite comes with 5 speed presets. However, you can also customize your own speed levels via the application.

Noise Level

The Theragun Elite massage gun is so far the quietest Theragun addition in the market. Considering the powerful motor it houses, the massager is considered to be quiet.

Theragun Elite Full Review – the final verdict

In our opinion, if you are someone who is seriously invested in sports and wants an alternative to conventional massages, then Theragun percussive massager is a viable option. Theragun Elite is priced a little lower than the PRO, and it features almost the same specs.

Theragun Elite and PRO are an excellent option for athletes or professional trainers, considering their high power performance and long battery life. But, if you are an amateur athlete, then Theragun Mini or Prime would be an excellent option to look into!
