The addition of five-speed options is a phenomenal update. Level one, which provides 1750 percussions per minute, is excellent for people with slighter builds or areas of the body with less muscle density. Lastly, Theragun also sells additional batteries separately, so you can always buy more if you need to use them for longer than 5 hours consecutively.
Hyperice Hypervolt Massage Gun
Power Rating
While it is nice to have 3 different speed options, notably a lower level setting, the top power setting didn't quite match the power output of the Theragun. It was not as easy to apply for extended periods due to the grip style. While the raw power capability is still impressive, the full speed option required a lot of manual pressure to keep it targeted without bouncing around.
Accessory
First off, the Hypervolt includes four attachment heads, including a flat tip, round tip, bullet tip, and fork tip. Most importantly, they complement one another, and it is effortless to swap in and out between them during a massage session. Lastly, the Hypervolt does not come with a carrying case, which is a mild disappointment at its price point.
Battery Life
The Hypervolt lasts an incredible 2.5-3 hours on one charge. You can seriously use this for weeks without having to recharge it. You might not find backup batteries for this massage gun, but the long battery life makes up for it.
